The condition of stored products shall be assessed as needed. Packaging is specified and controlled and all stored products are protected prior to, and during, transportation.

HANDLING
The Warehouse Manager shall be responsible for product handling and preservation and for ensuring that equipment used in internal transport of product is well maintained.

STORAGE
Storage areas are the responsibility of the Warehouse Manager. Only products that can be properly identified and have passed inspection shall be authorized to leave the premises. All warehouse personnel, including stock pullers, are required to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Material and finished product storage areas are controlled using an inventory allocation system. The system reports availability by stock quantities and by product location.

PACKAGING AND LABELING
The Sales Department is responsible for specifying special packaging and labeling requirements based on customer standards and contract requirements. Packaging shall be designed for the intended means of delivery.

After parts are packaged, they shall be placed in an adequate storage facility.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY Products are shipped per customer instructions. Sales personnel are responsible for interfacing with the customer to determine product routing. HTI recognizes that 100% on-time delivery performance is crucial in order for customers to meet their production and service requirements.

To ensure the highest level of on-time performance:
  • order processing schedules are developed based on leads times,
  • delivery performance is continuously monitored and
  • corrective action is requested when performance is not satisfactory
