General Policy
HTI ensures that all personnel having an effect on quality understand their direct responsibility regarding the quality system. Executive Management is ultimately responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality system.

MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATION
HTI appoints the divisional Quality Manager (QM) as management's representative. The QM has the authority and responsibility to ensure that the quality management system is maintained and implemented.

ORGANIZATION
Interrelations among personnel who manage, perform and verify work affecting quality are defined in the organizational chart.

RESPONSIBILITIES
President/CEO

Is responsible for conducting executive level reviews, overseeing strategic planning, formulating quality policy, providing the resources necessary to maintain the system and supporting all levels of quality personnel.

Executive Vice-President/Operations
Is responsible for supporting the actions of the CEO, conducting management review of the quality system, maintaining a business plan, coordinating continuous improvement activities and supporting all levels of quality personnel.

Regional Managers / Branch Managers / Department Managers / Supervisors
Are responsible for fulfilling their job descriptions and for complying with the procedures set forth in the quality system. They also ensure sufficient staffing, promote continuous quality improvement, train staff and support staff in executing these policies.

Warehouse Operations
Is responsible for developing process operator instructions, controlling and monitoring warehouse processes, maintaining warehouse equipment, receiving, packaging and shipping product and ensuring compliance to all safety regulations. The warehouse operation personnel also participate in management review processes and corporate strategic planning.

Purchasing
Is responsible for selecting vendors and subcontractors, preparing and approving all purchased products and documents, as well as monitoring and assessing subcontractor and vendor performance. Purchasing personnel also participate in management review processes and corporate strategic planning.

Sales Manager / Sales
Are responsible for establishing specifications for new products, collecting and analyzing customer specific data, carrying out contract and order reviews and conducting market research. Sales personnel may also get involved in management review processes and corporate strategic planning.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Are responsible for developing laboratory processes, maintaining the quality system, initiating requests and follows up on corrective actions and maintaining calibration measuring and testing equipment. Quality personnel shall be responsible for handling nonconforming product and may participate in management review and corporate strategic planning.

MANAGEMENT REVIEW
HTI shall conduct Executive Management review meetings at least once per quarter to review quality policy. The purpose of the quality system review is to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness.
